GlasGrid® is an exceptionally strong, self-adhesive reinforcement material specifically developed for pavements. It reduces tensile stresses in the asphalt concrete and distributes them over a greater area, which slows down or even prevents reflective cracking. Surface cracks caused by freezing, for example, can also be treated effectively using GlasGrid®.
			GlasGrid® consists of a matrix of glass fibre strands enclosed in a polymer coating and with a pressure-sensitive tack coat. It can be used on all asphalt concrete and concrete pavements that show signs of cracking as a result of:
			temperature stresses and fatigue uneven settlement joints in concrete pavements road-widening. GridSeal® is a reinforcement system developed by Ooms Avenhorn Groep. It consists of a composite of GlasGrid® and a membrane of polymer-modified bitumen. This system gives the best protection against reflective cracking and provides a watertight seal over the underlying layers. CompoGridTM is a composite of GlasGrid® and a membrane saturated with polymer-modified bitumen emulsion that acts as reinforcement and provides a watertight seal over the pavement.
