One way of reducing the use of primary raw materials is to apply thinner asphalt concrete constructions such as Novachip®, Microville® and Safedress®. Novachip® Novachip® is an ultra-thin covering layer consisting of a modified bituminous emulsion with a coarse aggregate hot mix over the top.
			Microville® Microville® is an ultra-thin covering layer which, besides long life span and reduced layer thickness, cuts down the noise level by up to 3dB(A) compared to a conventional surface. Safedress® Safedress® is a thinner version of Novachip® and Microville® and contains a for this mixture unique additional material. It is especially developed for the renovation and layering of obsoleted surfaces. Properties Novachip® and Microville® can be used on all types of road and have the following properties:
